Arnold Rikli, a 19th century naturopath, has left an enormous mark on Bled. We will follow his trails in a non-conventional tour in Bled, lasting around 3 hours. We will start by the lake shore, get to know the credo of the Riklians, take a barefoot walking trail and then climb Rikli's fitness path to Straža hill. There, we will visit his monument and see some amazing viewpoints.
Neža. Riklianer, mommy, translator, qualified tourist guide, Bled hop-on hop-off bus local guide, forest fairy, elf, bookworm. Whatever I do, I do with enthusiasm and passion. Beauties and stories of the Gorenjska (Upper Carniola) region in Slovenia are surrounding me my entire life. Family trips and exploring Slovenia in detail are something I grew up with. Knowing its history, folk tales and customs as well as its rich cultural heritage makes Gorenjska not only a stunning piece of nature, but also a place full of memorable stories. A native of the region with a degree in translation for Slovenian, English and French and a qualified regional tourist guide as well as api-tourist guide, I will gladly share these stories with you. On Instagram, I am leaving my footprints under @aroundbled.
