Being it London there can be a little noise from the traffic below, though if you prefer a very quiet, and larger room then that can be arranged, though there’s no tv in the larger room, and I'd need a little notice in advance to arrange.
it's only 15 minutes walk to Kensington High Street where you'll find the Design Museum, Kensington Roof Gardens, and many regular chains like Yo Sushi, Bryon Burger, Five Guys, Costa etc etc as well as many independent places to eat.
Personal favourites in the area...
Best Mangal 2
A Lovely Turkish restaurant with great food, nice staff and stylish decor.
Frank's Sanwhich Bar
For the best of English cuisine (stodgy white bread, eggs, and bacon!). Also the location for the cover of a Pulp LP, and opposite Brian Ferry's studio.
A very friendly Chinese restaurant close to West Ken tube (over the road and lefta little bit). Take your own alcohol. Good prices, and generous helpings.
Thai Street Food
Close to CTB this is a bit more expensive, but still reasonable, ltovely decor, good people & amazing ice cream
There's also Lebonese and Indian food (where also take your own alcohol) close to home, and a couple of places for shisha. If you want great quality English food that is more than a bacon sandwhich, see the pub below.
Further down north end road you can find a vegan place and much more from distant lands from Taiwan to Ethiopia. Towards Kensington is a good Philippine restaurant too.
There's some local menus available in the flat.
The closest pub is the Cumberland arms which has has great food, good beer, and usually an excellent music playlist selected by the friendly staff. Boardgames and newspapers are available. A decent place for warmer nights with a large outdoor area, next to Marcus Garvey Park.
Also good are the hand & flowers, and the Albion which has a lovely fire sometimes and photos of bands whove recorded nearby. Sometimes the odd gig too. Down the road is Nell's Jazz n Blues which has some big names play.
Parking is £1.80 per hour in the local zone, but you need to arrange this with me or it's even more expensive.
